Primera Introduces its GP3000 Color Tag Press
Print Full-Color Stake Tags, Hang Tags and More
Primera Technology, Inc., one of the world’s leading manufacturers of specialty printers, is set to showcase its new GP3000 Color Tag Press at IPM show in Essen from 24 to 27 January 2017. Primera is located in hall 9, stand 9.A09.
Developed specifically for the horticulture industry, GP3000 is Primera’s new on-demand, full-color horticulture tag press. The machine prints both sides of pre die-cut stake tags, hang tags, bench cards and many other types of tags and signage. A built-in cutter perfectly trims the edges of the printed output to deliver full-bleed tags. An innovative digital creasing mechanism (patent pending) for creating perfect stick-in tags is also included. The resulting tags are then neatly dispensed, stacked and ready for use – no tearing apart of the tags required.
GP3000 allows you to print from just a few to many thousands of tags at a time. Greenhouses, nurseries and growers of all sizes will save time and money by not having to wait for long lead times and not throwing away quantities of unused tags. Users can change text and graphics “on the fly” and add logos, pricing and any other variable information.
Durability of the printed tags has proven to be excellent. Outdoor tests of one year show no noticeable degradation from UV, water, and scratching. Print resolution is 1200 x 4800 dpi, producing very crisp text and stunning full-color photos and graphics.
“No longer do growers, greenhouses and garden centers need to over-estimate the number of plant tags they order just to make sure that they will have enough. With GP3000, you can print exactly the quantities of tags you need when and where you need them,” said Mark D. Strobel, Primera’s vice president of sales and marketing. “GP3000 fits the gap between ordering hundreds of thousands of tags from an outside supplier and the need for short runs of a few extra tags to several thousand at a time,” he continued.
Printer drivers are included for Windows 7/8x/10. Also included is Primera’s PTHort Software, which takes photos and text from a database and formats it to various tag templates.
