Primera^® Announces New 24 Months Warranty Program For the European Market

Primera sets new price/performance standard for disc duplication and printing systems.

Primera Technology Europe™, European headquarter of Primera Technology, Inc., leading manufacturer of duplication and printing equipment, launches its new warranty program at the Broadcast LIVE & VideoForum, January 30 — February 1, 2008 at Earls Court 2 in London. The company is located at stand # D40.

On any purchased Disc Publisher customers get now 24 months instead of the normal 12 months warranty without any additional charge. They just have to register their Disc Publisher at Primera’s website www.primerawarranty.com. The program works retroactive, so even customers who bought a publisher before the campaign starts, can register and will be informed about their new warranty expiry date.

“Primera's mission is to offer a high degree of customer satisfaction. The new extended warranty adds to it and only serves the needs of our customers,” explains Andreas Hoffman, Managing Director at Primera Europe.

Instead of copying discs one at a time and then printing and sticking labels, Primera’s Disc Publisher line of CD/DVD publishers automates the entire burning and printing process. An advanced, sixth-generation robotic mechanism transporting discs into the built-in Pioneer^® DVR-112 DVD±R/CD-R recorder. After recording, each disc is individually inkjet printed direct-to-disc in full-colour at up to 4800 dpi resolution. Up to 100 discs per job can be produced automatically and hands-free.

Blu-ray Discs Supported
Primera is a member of the Blu-ray Disc Association and world’s first manufacturer of automated disc publishers to announce support for Blu-ray Disc technology. With its Blu-ray Disc Publisher line, including the Disc Publisher SE Blu, XR Blu, XRP Blu and XRn Blu, Primera now also offers professional-grade disc publishing systems for Blu-ray Disc Media. All Blu-ray models incorporate the Panasonic® SW-5582 drive to record onto the widest range of optical media, including CD-R, DVD±R and BD-R (both single and dual layer).
Dual-layer BD-R media has a capacity of up to 50GB per disc, therefore the publishers are ideal for developers of PlayStation®3 game software, for storage and archiving as well as high-definition film and video production. Works with Mac and PC
All Disc Publishers attach to any PC running Windows^® 2000/XP or Vista through its high-speed USB 2.0 interface. They come equipped with an easy to use duplication software (either PrimoDVD or PTPublisher) and a professional labeling software program called SureThing^™ CD Labeler Primera.

Primera’s Publishers also attach to any Mac^® running Apple^® OS X, even supporting the recently released Mac OS 10.5, called Leopard. Included is CharisMac Engineering’s Discribe^™ V5.3 duplication software along with design templates for Adobe^® Illustrator^® and Photoshop^®.
