Ausbildung bei Primera Europe

Interview with Albion Bekolli

That is the way I learned about the apprenticeship at Primera:

I was informed of a job vacancy at Primera on the website of the German Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit).

I decided to start this training because:

To me Primera’s job proposal was not only professionaly but also very intriguing as I expected it to be a very diverse and above all instructive apprenticeship. After my job interviews with Mrs. Höhn and Mr. Droste, I realised that Primera would be the right choice to start my work life.

What did you learn during your apprenticeship?

I worked in the sales department of Primera. There I learned to process customer requests, calculate proposals, write order confirmations and invoices, properly enter and maintain customer data, add articles in our ERP etc. I also was part of the stand personal iat several trade shows.

Why do you want to continue working at Primera?

Unfortunately, our ways parted a little, as after my great apprenticeship I’m now working in the sales department of Blu Innovation, a sister company of Primera. But as both companies are in the same building, I’m happy to lend a helping hand.

What are your future tasks?

My responsibilities at Blu Innovation are broader as during my apprenticeship. The sales aspect is basically the same as while working at Primera, but my work now includes also purchasing, logistics and support.

What was your personal highlight during your apprenticeship?

My personal highlight was the Anuga trade show in Cologne. It was great experience to work outside the office. Mrs. Höhn and Mr. Ramp, whom I was allowed to accompany to that show, thaught me a lot about face-to-face communication with customers and I simultanously became more familiar with our products. To sum it up: I can look back on a very good apprenticeship at Primera, which, besides all the things I learned, was also a lot of fun for me.

Interview with Lucy Hoffmann

That is the way I learned about the apprenticeship at Primera:

Through my father. He is one of the managing directors at Primera. During my search for a apprenticeship, he drew my attention to the fact that Primera still has a vacancy for my wish education.

I decided to start this training because:

The apprenticeship as a media designer includes not only the creative, but also a technical side. Because I liked these two areas very appealing, I knew that this training is exactly fitting for me.

What did you learn during your apprenticeship?

Besides the handling of graphics and design programs, I have also acquired a lot of technical knowledge. This is required, for example, the handling of our devices.

Why do you want to continue working at Primera?

It's just fun to work at Primera. The working atmosphere here is really great, we all work as a team and understand each other well. You also learn something new every day, it never gets boring.

What are your future tasks?

As a marketing assistant, I am particularly responsible for designing and developing new advertising campaigns. I also create and edit videos and support my other colleagues in all work related to design.

What was your personal highlight during your apprenticeship?

During the second year as an apprentice, Primera participated in a very large trade fair, the Labelexpo in Brussels. There I could be present to introduce our products to new customers. This was a really great experience.

Interview with Fatima Romero

That is the way I learned about the apprenticeship at Primera:

I researched job positions especially in wholesale and foreign trade, which required knowledge of foreign languages like Spanish, English, Italian or French, so that I could use them well.

I decided to start this training because:

As a single mother of two young children I was looking for an occupational re-training in an office, as it’s easier to combine with my responsibilities to my children as it was possible in my old job at the airport. Furthermore I wanted to use my language skills and experience in customer service. This job matched my profile and job ideas.

What did you learn during your apprenticeship?

For me personally I learned that learning at a young age is a lot easier and more relaxed than at my age. The pressure and the fear of failing was bigger for me because of my responsibilities to my children. Conclusion: One is never too old to learn and do something new. Today the used methods to teach and to share knowledge is different from the way it was done when I was younger. Now teaching is approached forward-looking and global. Especially globalisation is a very important factor for wholesale and foreign trade in general but for the existence of every company in particular. Not just the professional basics like calculating an offer, writing order confirmations and invoices are taught during this apprenticeship (by Primera Europe), but also to recognise and to consider the political situation of foreign countries and their purchasing habits.

Why do you want to continue working at Primera?

The very familiar atmosphere here at Primera makes it easy to work. Not to mention the nice staff, who welcomes you every morning, teamwork, that’s an essential element at the company or the management that keeps the well-being of its employees in mind. (Free fruit, water, coffee, chocolate, small surprise are just a few examples.) That’s not a given these days!

What are your future tasks?

In addition to the tasks I have at Primera, I’m also part of the sales team of Blu Innovation and promote our latest product line of Smolia LED magnifying glasses in Germany and Austria.

What was your personal highlight during your apprenticeship?

To juggle school, work and family life and ultimately finish my apprenticeship successfully. My whole occupational re-training was a give-and-take between young and old. I think both parties were able to benefit from it.

Interview with Alexander Kuhlmann

interview

That is the way I learned about the apprenticeship at Primera:

Marcel, another employee, told me about the company and the possibility to start an apprenticeship in the logistic department.

I decided to start this training because:

I was looking for a job where I can not only be physically active but also work on a computer.

What did you learn during your apprenticeship?

I learned to edit customer orders, to send goods and also to use different software programs, which we need e.g. for preparing shipping documents or canceling an order.

Why do you want to continue working at Primera?

I like the fact that all people at Primera work as a good team with a pleasant working atmosphere. Because of this and the great working hours I have a lot of fun at work.

What are your future tasks?

My tasks won't change much in the future. In the last 2 ½ years I learned the ropes. That's very important for a smooth operation in the logistics.

What was your personal highlight during your apprenticeship?

One of the highlights during my training was to participate at the different shows. For employees with my job it isn't common to work outside the usual working environment. So it was a great experience for me.
